As the Deputy Principal in charge of Academics and Trainees Affairs I provide strategic leadership in the planning, coordination, and enhancement of all academic programs within the institution. My core responsibility is to ensure the delivery of high-quality training that meets industry needs, adheres to national standards, and equips learners with relevant, practical skills.

The academic wing is tasked with overseeing curriculum development and implementation with a strong focus on Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET). Emphasis is placed on maintaining excellence in teaching and learning, supported by Continuous Professional Development for lecturers, regular academic audits, and the integration of technology into instructional methods.

Academic operations such as student admissions, assessments, certification, and progression are carefully managed to uphold standards and ensure learner success. Strong linkages with industry are fostered to keep training relevant and graduates employable. Additionally, we promote research, innovation, and strategic partnerships with both local and international stakeholders, while maintaining compliance with regulatory bodies such as TVETA, KNQA, and CDACC.

We are committed to becoming a leading center of excellence in technical and vocational education. Our strategic priorities include expanding access, promoting equity and inclusion, and aligning academic programs with national development frameworks such as Kenya Vision 2030, the Big Four Agenda, and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). There is a strong emphasis on STEM fields, digital literacy, and the development of green skills to address current and future workforce demands.
