TSNP has marked yet another milestone in its student governance journey with the successful swearing‑in ceremony of the newly elected Trainee Council (SINAPTO) leadership. The event, held recently on campus, brought together students, officials, and supporters to witness the formal transition of power following the peaceful and fully online elections concluded earlier in February.
The swearing‑in ceremony was presided over by the Chief Principal who congratulated the incoming leaders, challenged them to serve with integrity, and emphasized the importance of student governance in shaping responsible citizens and future professionals.
He further commended the entire electoral process particularly the seamless online voting system for delivering a free, fair and transparent process devoid of petitions.
Members of the TSNP Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) were also in attendance to formally validate the transition and witness the oath‑taking process. Their presence underscored the credibility, accountability, and professionalism that guided the entire election cycle.
The Commission applauded students for embracing digital voting, which contributed to a peaceful and efficient electoral period.
One by one, the elected SINAPTO leaders stepped forward to take their oath of office, pledging to uphold the constitution of the student body, represent trainee interests, and promote a culture of unity and progress within the institution.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and hope as fellow trainees cheered on their preferred representatives, celebrating both their victory and the journey ahead.
With the new leaders officially sworn in, The Siaya National Polytechnic now enters a fresh chapter of student leadership. Expectations are high, and the community looks forward to seeing initiatives that promote academic excellence, innovation, and student welfare.
