TSNP Launches TVETA-Accredited E-Trike Level 4 Curriculum in Partnership with Songa E-Mobility
We are proud to announce the official launch of the E-Trike Level 4 Curriculum — a groundbreaking training programme developed by our own TSNP Faculty and fully accredited by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA).
This milestone positions TSNP at the forefront of Kenya’s fast-growing electric mobility (e-mobility) sector, equipping trainees and members of the public with the practical, industry-ready skills needed to service, maintain, and support electric tricycles (e-trikes) — one of the most promising innovations in affordable, clean transportation.
Why E-Mobility, Why Now?
Electric mobility is rapidly emerging as the safer, cheaper, and cleaner alternative to conventional fuel-powered transport. As adoption of e-trikes and other electric vehicles accelerates across Kenya and the region, the demand for technicians who understand their unique servicing and maintenance needs is growing just as fast.
We recognize this shift not as a distant trend, but as a present-day opportunity — and we are committed to ensuring our graduates are ready to seize it.
A Strategic Partnership with Songa E-Mobility
To bring this vision to life, we have partnered with Songa E-Mobility, a leading player in the electric mobility space, to establish a dedicated E-Mobility Hub right here at the Polytechnic. This collaboration will provide hands-on training in E-Trike Service and Maintenance, giving trainees direct exposure to real-world tools, technology, and industry best practices.
This partnership reflects our broader commitment to industry-linked, demand-driven training that goes beyond the classroom and prepares graduates for genuine employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Who Benefits?
The E-Trike Level 4 Curriculum is designed to benefit:
Looking Ahead
With TVETA accreditation secured and the Songa E-Mobility partnership in place, we are laying the groundwork for a fully-fledged E-Mobility Hub that will serve as a regional center of excellence for e-trike service and maintenance training.
This is more than a new course — it’s a statement of intent. As the transportation industry moves toward safer, cleaner, and more affordable solutions, we are ensuring our graduates aren’t just keeping pace with the future — we’re helping to build it.
