Health sciences department is one of the most committed departments in impacting relevant professional skills to trainees pursuing the stipulated courses in the department. The department offers Three approved courses by TVETA which include Nutrition and dietetics level 5 and level 6, Community Health level 5 and level 6, Health Records and Information Technology Level 5 and Level 6.
We aim to equip trainees with relevant technical competence by providing an excellence training as per the required standards and emerging trends in the field of health sciences. The department has also partnered with local health stakeholders including Siaya county referral hospital to provide a platform for practising the practical competence in the core unit of competence as emphasized in the competence-based education framework.
