We delivered an outstanding performance at this year’s Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Annual Show themed: Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth, held at the Kisumu Showground from 20th to 24th July 2026. Our participation was marked by innovation, excellence, and strategic engagement, cementing our growing reputation as a hub of technical and vocational excellence in the region.
Among the many highlights, we clinched First Position in the Research and Development category under the Education segment, an achievement that earned the Institution both a trophy and certificates of recognition. This milestone stands as a testament to the quality of research, innovation, and academic rigor being nurtured within our training programmes.
Throughout the five-day show, our stand was a hive of activity, drawing visitors eager to interact with the Institution’s trainees, staff, and innovations. Some of the key moments included:
Research and Development Showcase: The award-winning research exhibits that propelled us to first position, demonstrating our growing capacity for innovation-driven training.
High-Level Partnership Engagement: We hosted a high-powered delegation from Maseno University, comprising the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Finance & Administration, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Partnership, Research & Innovation. Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration in Research and Development, as well as facilitating the progression of our trainees to Level 7 qualifications — a strategic step towards expanding academic pathways for our graduates.
Trainee Innovations on Display: Visitors had the opportunity to interact with various trainee-led projects and departmental exhibits, reflecting the breadth of skills and creativity nurtured across TSNP’s training programmes.
Public Engagement and Institutional Visibility: The stand served as a touchpoint for prospective trainees, parents, industry stakeholders, and members of the public to learn more about our programmes, achievements, and vision for technical education in the region.
