Today marks a key part of our history with the official Handing Over Ceremony between the outgoing Chief Principal Dr Daniel O. Randa and the incoming Chief Principal Eng. Felix B. Odhiambo. The event, graced by members of the Governing Council, senior management and distinguished guests, was a solemn yet celebratory occasion that signalled both a respectful farewell and an optimistic new beginning.
No handing over ceremony would be complete without pausing to honour the leader who has steered the polytechnic through years of growth, challenge, and transformation.

Your tenure at The Siaya National Polytechnic has been nothing short of remarkable. Under your visionary leadership, the institution was elevated to a National Polytechnic, expanded its academic offerings, improved its physical infrastructure, and deepened its impact on the lives of thousands of students drawn from Siaya County and beyond.
You championed a culture of excellence, discipline, and innovation — values that now run deep in the veins of this polytechnic. You navigated the complex terrain of TVET administration with skill and dedication, advocating for resources, building strategic partnerships, and always keeping the student at the centre of every decision.
